So it begins, Kyler went and saw the pediatric urologist at Cardinal Glennon Tuesday. As our appointment was at 10:15 a.m. and didn't get into the room to be seen till 10:45. Sitting there and wondering at 11:20 a.m. if they forgot we were in there. Oh no they decided they all wanted to see Obama become president. What the heck you know if I knew we were going to sit in this room for that long by myself trying to entertain a 7 month old and a 4 year old, I wanted to go see also! Besides the point!
Anyways, he doesn't want to do more harm to Kyler so is deciding to not go at this kidney stone thing aggressive. He did give me some options of how to do it, but the water shock he is to small to do and the other option is using a stint (which dad already said no!). Other option is using a scope and getting one out so we can get it sent off to see why he is having kidney stones.
If we can get one, we can get it sent off and see what it is made of and probably be able to do something about them were he may not get anymore or at least limit the number he has since he has numerous in the right and left kidney and one that is 2 mm being the largest one and not thinking he is going to pass it since it is at the bottom corner of his kidney were it would have to come all the way up to come out. He said he doesn't think it will pass. He seemed to be interested in getting this one for the sample one.
This is something that is inherited from Billy and also something Kyler is going to have to live with for the rest of his life, with every stone he gets he has a 75% chance of getting them again.
So my poor baby boy has kidney stones and I always have that in the back of my head to wonder if I'm going to get a call from daycare or be with him and him roll around screaming bloody murder cause he is passing one and know there is nothing I can do for him, but call an ambulance and take him to the hospital. How is a mom to have an ambulance come get your baby boy and me to follow? Something I really don't care to think about and hopefully never have to experience! God only let them pass when he is at home with me!
